PICASSO/BRAQUE
Silk Haori, Meisen Technique, pre-1950
From 1907 to 1914, Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque worked closely together, creating collages that were still lifes of a Parisian cafe table and its objects. During this period, considered to be the birth of Cubism. the subjects of guitar and cafe/bar became favorites of many early modernists, and this haori recalls those artists.
