JOAN MIRÓ 1893-1983
Joan Miró was never closely aligned with any art movement except possibly Surrealism, though he was influenced by and maintained relationships with many of the major European modern artists of the 20th century. The formal and technical innovations that he sustained over a very long career guaranteed his influence on 20th-century art.
