SONIA DELAUNAY 1885-1979
Sonia Delaunay co-founded the Orphism art movement in 1912, a version of Cubism that was noted for its use of strong colors and geometric shapes. In addition to painting and illustration, she designed costumes for the theater, ballet, and films, as well as clothing for her own fashion studio.
